Homework is an important part of the fourth grade curriculum. Students are expected to do assignments and turn them in on time. Homework assignments will sometimes be recorded in the grade book. Parents are encouraged to check over homework assignments and provide feedback to the teacher so that the student can benefit from this practice. Feedback can be written directly on the paper or e-mailed.
The student should write all homework assignments in the agenda. If there is no homework, “NONE” should be written in that subject area so that there is no confusion. If the assignment is finished in school, it should still be written in the agenda. A checkmark can be placed beside it.
The homework must be completely finished and brought to class in order to be considered done. However, I understand that it doesn’t always get done for many reasons. There are rewards and consequences for homework completion. If a student misses an assignment, it must be completed and turned in. Repeated late assignments will result in a detention.
